Nick Doan is a freelance photographer living in Scottsdale, AZ (just outside of Phoenix). Nick specializes in sports action, portraits and public relations photography.

Having once worked for a large DC newspaper somewhere near the White House, Nick Doan learned a great love of Sports Photography. After helping to cover such events as the Superbowl, the ALCS (MLB), Cal Ripken Jr.'s Streak Week, Republican National Convention, Kemper Open, US Open (golf), the Stanley Cup and the Nagano Winter Olympics, Nick felt it was time to move on. He left the paper, and moved to the warmer, dryer climate of Arizona to work in private industry. Deciding that a desk job wasn't for him, he's back into photography, and loving it more than ever.

In Arizona, Nick has covered the FBR (Phoenix) Open, the Safeway International (LPGA), NFL, MLB, NHL, as well as NCAA Football, Basketball, Lacrosse, Baseball, Gymastics and Wrestling. He, also, works as a photographer and Director of Photo Days for SPORTSEYE, Arizona's premier youth sports photography source. Nick works for a number of different clients including the Associated Press, Arizona State University, GolfWorld/GolfDigest, Sports Illustrated, Volleyball Magazine, and others. His pictures have been published in Sports Illustrated, ESPN: The Magazine, GolfWorld, Volleyball Magazine, Sports Illustrated on Campus, Business Week, The Washington Post, The New York Post, the Chicago Tribune, Business Week, the Wall Street Journal, TV Guide, and a number of other publications.
